TogethrSet alarm, join group chat with people who wake up same time. Social alarm clock
6-week prototype
Why I Started ThisTogethr is an idea from my backlog: turn clock alarm into a social platform. When the set alarm comes, people who set the same alarm join the same group chat, so they can chat with others who need to wake up or do something at the same time. While I switched to fully adapt Claude Code as my main development tool, I wanted to work on a real project to get familiar with this new approach.
What Surprised MeDue to system limitations (unless you get special "emergency alarm" permission, app developers can't force iPhone ringing), I tweaked the idea: a group discussion board with notification reminders. I spent about 6 weeks building this full-function social app, then invited people to test. However, since this wasn't a real alarm, they (including myself) usually ignored it due to other focuses. That's the main reason I decided to postpone this idea and move to the next project.
What This Opens UpAt least this was good practice building a full functional social app leveraging modern development tools like Claude Code. What minimal shared experiences can create genuine social bonds? How can digital platforms respect users' attention while facilitating real connection?
